OUR SCHOOL

North Asheboro Middle School-

Learning today… Leading tomorrow

North Asheboro Middle School, or NAMS, is one of two middle schools in the Asheboro City Schools system. Opened in 1968 as North Asheboro Junior High, NAMS today serves a student population of 506 with 64 teachers, administration, and support staff. We offer an abundance of educational and extracurricular activities for our students.

We currently have several active clubs that meet on a regular basis either before or after school to provide enriching experiences for our students, and many to introduce them to the vast benefits of being involved in community service projects. Our nine athletic teams are usually quite competitive in the Asheboro/Randolph Middle School Conference.

The staff is committed to producing the best citizens possible to be our civic and business leasers of tomorrow. The staff at NAMS is a dedicated and caring group of educators. Members of our staff are actively involved in extracurricular activities for our students, as well as active in serving in various positions at the District and State level, and in community projects such as Special Olympics and Relay for Life.
